It is my pleasure to welcome you to Graham-Dustin Public Schools. It is my honor to serve as the Superintendent of Graham-Dustin Schools. The 2016-2017 school year was a sucessful school year. The teachers and support staff are exciting about the beginning of a new school year, 2017-2018.
As you may know, we sucessfully passed a bond issue this past year to build up or newly formed football program and to purchase a new activity bus along with a school van. We feel honored that the community came together to allow us to purchase these needed items. The football field project is ongoing and we look forward to hosting our own football games this school year. The 2017-2018 school year will be our first year to have a high school football program. Our new activity bus should be arriving sometime in Early August. The school van should be here sometime in August or September.
We have 4 new teachers this school year. Jenny Huckabay will be teaching Kindergarten, Tina Brittenham will teach English, Debra Louderback will be teaching Math, and Josh Henry will be teaching computers. We also have a new head cook on the elementary campus, Hayley Thomason. We are excited to have these new employees this school year. Please take time to welcome these new teachers to our school.
On behalf of the Board of Education, Administration, Teachers, and Support Staff, I would like to thank the parents and community members for the opportunity to educate their children and the children of the community. It is an honor to have every student at school and watch them grow academically. The 2017-2018 will be a great school year.
